The book opens with what reads as a very bittersweet letter to the reader. (I also believe GoO is selling an even larger version of the map on their web site for a limited time.) The book also comes with a large removable map, allowing the players and GM to better visualize the continent of Westeros without having to flip through the book. The paper is thick and high gloss, which helps bring the excellent artwork (which I will get to shortly) to perfect life. It seems clear that GoO knows what kind of punishment a gamer can dish out upon their books and constructed the book accordingly. After multiple and regular readings, this tome of a game book is showing no signs of fraying or snapping. The book is high quality both inside and out, Guardians of Order (henceforth known as GoO) did not skimp one little bit on the material needed to create this book.

Before you pick up the book though, you may want to hit the gym for a few weeks because the dang thing weighs a ton and will take a toll on your poorly worked gamer muscles. This is a damn meaty book and let me say right off the bat it is worth every single penny of its $49.99 price.

Guardians of Order, with some help from the folks at White Wolf Game Studios, have drafted the next greatest RPG book of all time based on one of the greatest fantasy series of all time. Even after 15 years there are few books that stack up to the D&D Rules Cyclopedia in pure value. Sure, there may have been books with slightly better art, crisper prose, or a more advanced playing style, but none of them could ever truthfully claim to be the only book you ever needed. For years, I have bored my fellow gamers with the claim that the old TSR D&D Rules Cyclopedia was, overall, the greatest single role-playing game book ever published.

I recommend you to not run onto the mod at first as CK2 is a difficult game for new players, you should either start in ireland in the earliest date (if you can with the Charlemagne DLC allowing you to start in 769 AD when europe isnt that structured apart from charlemagne and his brother Carloman the First or the Hispannic Emirate ) or play any big king/emperor (christians ones as their gameplay is the same as westeros Lords in the AGOT mod ) to learn how vassals and foreigns politics works. When you launch ck2 you'll see two tabs, one dlc (ck2 as a LOT of them, some of them are pretty mandatory to experience a good gameplay or play other factions that european catholics ) and the other one is mod, you go there and simply check the A Game of Thrones file and when you'll start ck2 it will be done !! This is the installer (so you wont have any issues with installing the mod ) it's for the latest version of CK2 (2.5.2) You can buy CK2 on steam (or any key sellers website but you will have to activate the key on steam ). I personally believe that there is so much potential here. Obviously this is just a loose idea, but I would love to hear other people's opinions of this idea. There would likely be a million possibilities for side quests and things to do. Similarly to skyrim, the main characters may be immortal as to preserve the main storyline, or you could mould your own storyline. Potentially join a house and serve them or join the hill tribes. For example, you could go with Ned down to Kings Landing and then choose join the brotherhood with Ser Beric, or rather stay in Winterfell and join the Nights Watch. You could have options where you'd like to go and join factions. What would everyone think of a open world Game Of Thrones video game which would be similar to skyrim? Starting point could vary from different events, personally I'd say at the start of the series, in Winterfell.
